The presentation will cover an introduction to fluid viscous dampers, address when dampers might be feasible for retrofit applications, discuss schematic level damper design, and review a case study example.

Bio:

Anthony Tiapon is a Senior Project Engineer for Taylor Devices. He joined Taylor Devices in April 2022 after working for six years in structural design for a private engineering company in Sacramento. Prior to this, he studied Architectural Engineering at Cal Poly SLO, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.

At Taylor Devices, Anthony provides technical support to design engineers who wish to use fluid viscous dampers as part of their design.
